The Equinox arrives as a sacred pause — the point where the Wheel of the Year turns, where summer's radiance gives way to winter's descent, and day and night, conscious and unconscious come into balance. If the solstices are the in-breath and out-breath of the year, the equinoxes are still points in between, opportunities to harmonize with cosmic order.
In the traditions of Yoga and Ayurveda, the autumn equinox offers a sacred pause — a moment to reflect, reset, and realign with the shifting rhythms of the natural world.
As we move into a new season, governed by the qualities of air and wind, we’re invited to cultivate its gifts of creativity, movement, inspiration, and philosophical inquiry. But to experience these qualities in a balanced way, we must also connect intentionally to earth — grounding down, slowing down, and creating stability amidst the movement and change.
Move Into Stillness supports us in this essential shift:
We'll open with 45 minutes of flowing asana. Gentle movement will liberate and circulate energy, while the voices of crystal singing bowls will generate a quantum field of potential, tuning your cellular symphony and recalibrating your pranic system. Then we'll take rest. Thirty minutes of alchemical sound meditation will guide the bodymind into stillness.
Class will begin with a short mini-lesson on the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda for fall, exploring simple ways to support balance as we move into the new season. You’ll also receive an Ayurvedic care package to take home, filled with thoughtful tools and practices to help you nourish, ground, and care for yourself throughout the season.
